Pinot blanc “Cuvée Legere” 2006
White wine dry, Appellation Alsace Contrôlée,
Cave de Turckheim, Alsace, France
In France, Pinot Blanc refers to the group of two closely related grape varieties: Pinot Blanc and Auxerrois. Here, they have been married to create a wonderfully light and aromatic cuvée. With a moderate alcohol content, this white wine is spring in a bottle that will make you want a second glass!
Grape varieties: 20% Pinot Blanc - 80% Pinot Auxerrois. Grown on granite soils of the Munster Valley Val Saint Grégoire (Zimmerbach, Walbach, Wihr au Val)
Vinification: Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, no wood used.
Tasting: A pale yellow dry wine with an intense bouquet of white flowers and apricots. Very fruity on the palate, yet dry. The finish is characterized by mineral impressions.
Serving temperature: 8 - 10°C
Sommelier's recommendation: The ideal accompaniment to salad, poultry and fish. But also with starters or as an aperitif. Also excellent as an accompaniment to asparagus dishes!
