Aroma:
Intensely vegetable-earthy, cooked,
green asparagus, some paprika, leek.
Taste:
Powerful asparagus aroma, spicy, almost ethereal-oily,
slightly sweet, long-lasting.
Asparagus became famous through the wall paintings of Egyptian royal tombs. The Greeks discovered wild asparagus as a food and the Romans, who worked in agriculture, cultivated it. It is not known exactly how asparagus found its way to Germany. Today it is one of the most popular vegetables and is in season from the beginning of April to June 26. The asparagus for our brandies comes from the Müdener Berg above the Moselle.
