Maria Braun was born in 1919 in Steinheim, making her a true Steinheimerin. Through her father, who was a painter and sculptor, she discovered her special talent. For about three decades, she has been creating paintings that she describes as "romantic realism," in which her love for Steinheim, her hometown, is especially evident. Those who wish to admire her work can visit the annual exhibition of the "Community of Steinheim Artists," of which she is a founding member.

She celebrated her 87th birthday with us in a small event space decorated with her pictures.
