The gallery at the square of peace is located in the former tavern in the centre of Steinheim. It is identified as cultural monument and been reconstructed in 2006.

There's enough room for the presentation of contemporary paintings, objects and sculptures from artists of different backgrounds, styles and views.

[Translate to English:] Der Künstler Bernhard E. Schemionko lebt heute in der romantischen Altstadt von Steinheim, einem touristisch und kulturell sehenswerten Stadtteil von Hanau. Geboren wurde er 1954 im Ortsteil Klein-Krotzenburg der Gemeinde Hainburg. In den Jahren 1973 bis 1976 absolvierte er das Studium der Malerei an der Staatlichen Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Frankfurt am Main. An der Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main erwarb er den Titel Graduierter Künstler.
